LONDON: Famous British drama ‘Bridgerton’, which become streaming platform Netflix’s biggest series ever with more than 82 million households tuning in to watch the show, has been renewed for another three seasons.
Netflix has renewed popular period romantic-drama Bridgerton for seasons three and four. The renewal came weeks after the second season of the Shonda Rhimes-produced drama went into production.
Netflix seems to be quite impressed with Bridgerton as they said that they planned to remain in business with the drama for a long time to come, according to reports. “Bridgerton swept us off our feet. The creative team, led by Shonda, knew the material and delivered a beautiful, emotional, romantic drama for our members.

The announcement read, “Esteemed members of the Ton, It seems we have a rather special announcement. Bridgerton shall return for seasons three and four. This author shall have to purchase more ink. Yours Truly, Lady Whistledown.”
Season 2 goes into production, as the news comes in for another two seasons. “Bridgerton swept us off our feet,” Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s head of global TV, said in the interview. She said that it was their intention to be in the Bridgerton business for a long time to come.
