The Netflix film starring Finn Cole from Peaky Blinders has an official release date, and it’s coming up soon.
The streaming service has revealed that Locked In, written and directed by Rowan Joffé and Nour Wazzi, will launch on November 1.
Set to set unhappy newlywed Lina (Rose Williams from Sanditon) against her “once-famous, brittle” mother-in-law Katherine (Famke Janssen from X-Men), is a psychological thriller.
“An elicit passionate affair sets Lina onto a journey of secrecy, betrayal, murder… and a plot to seemingly destroy her,” reads the official synopsis further. But who can she really trust, and who is the true victim?
Cole, who’s perhaps best known for his role as Michael Gray in Peaky Blinders, plays Lina’s new spouse.
Other cast members include His Dark Materials star Alex Hassell and Marcella’s Anna Friel.
In the previous year’s season six finale, Cole said goodbye to his Peaky Blinders persona. Because of his destiny, Michael is unlikely to make a comeback for the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie, which director Steven Knight has stated will be the seventh and last installment.
Marking the show’s 10-year anniversary last month, Knight assured fans that the “story isn’t over yet”.
“It hardly seems believable that it’s 10 years since Tommy Shelby first rode that black horse through the streets of Birmingham,” he said.
“The phenomenal global success of the show is down to the brilliance and hard work of the loyal team that makes it happen. 10 years on and the story is not yet over. “
