ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has once again increased the price of electricity by Rs 1.61 paise per unit.
The NEPRA approved the electricity price hike after hearing the CPPA’s petition, which had requested an increase of Rs 2.1 paise per unit in the price of electricity.
According to the notification, the new price will be applicable for all DISCOs only on bills for the month of June, K Electric, Lifeline customers, and electric vehicle charging stations will not be applicable.

Earlier on June 6, the NEPRA had increased the per unit price of electricity for K-electric consumers by Rs 1.55 paise. According to Nepra, the per unit price of electricity has been increased at the request of the federal government, the increase will be applicable for May, June, and July, the increase in electricity prices was made for the adjustment of July, August, and September 2022.
