ISLAMABAD: The power rate to increase the cost of electricity by Rs 11.37 paise per unit has been approved.
K-electric had submitted a request to National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) for an increase of Rs 11 39 paise per unit as fuel adjustment.Â
Nepra officials said that according to the analysis of Nepra’s data, there is an increase of Rs 11.37 paise per unit in terms of FCA. The FCA of June will be charged to the consumers by Rs 1.85 paise more than that of May.

According to Nepra, earlier in May FCA customers were charged Rs 9.52 paise which was only for one month. The recent hike will also be applicable for one month only
