The Pakistani government on one hand is trying to ensure the implementation of various restrictions and vaccinations to protect citizens from coronavirus, on the other hand, the issue of fake corona vaccination certificates is becoming an alarming issue in the country.
Today, reports of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who has been staying in the UK for treatment for two years now, regarding the corona vaccine in Punjab, have sparked a new debate in the country and this issue has also raised questions about the credibility of NADRA.
Nawaz Sharif’s vaccination
According to official documents, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif has been vaccinated against corona on the evening of September 22 and has been summoned for the second dose on October 20 to prevent the outbreak. District Health Authority vaccinator Naveed Altaf entered the vaccination at 4:05 pm yesterday.

Situation of coronavirus
At least 2,357 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan in the last 24 hours while 58 more people have been killed. According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center, a total of 1,232,595 people across the country were infected with the coronavirus, while 27,432 people died of the virus.
During the last 24 hours, 48,151 tests were performed to diagnose coronavirus, bringing the total number of tests to 19,049,329, across the country.
Vaccination
According to the National Command and Operations Center, 76,141,484 people have been vaccinated in Pakistan so far, while those who have not been vaccinated across the country till next mopnth will face various restrictions.

Traveling restrictions
The Civil Aviation Authority has issued guidelines on Corona Vaccination Certificate. According to the CAA’s guidelines, the certificate has been made mandatory on domestic and international flights from 1st October. CAA guidelines clearly state that from next month, air travel without a corona vaccination certificate will be banned.

Passengers traveling to and from Pakistan will be required to test for coronavirus 72 hours before departure.
NADRA and corona vaccines
The National Database and Registration Authority has introduced the Corona Vaccination Pass, a system linked to the QR code. According to the NADRA spokesperson, scanning of the code reveals the identity card, passport number, and details of the vaccine. The ‘Vaccination Pass’ can be checked by any authority going abroad, the QR code cannot be inserted in the vaccination card due to forgery.
Fake Corona Certificate
After negative reports about the corona vaccine surfaced in Pakistan, people in many cities obtained fake certificates by paying the vaccination staff instead of vaccinating them.
Several news in this regard have come to light before, while the vaccination of the former prime minister, who has been abroad for two years, has raised questions about the vaccination process and the NADRA system that if this situation continues, it may take many more years for the dream of a corona-free Pakistan to come true.
