KARACHI: Cricketer Mohammad Amir has ranked fast-bowler Naseem Shah ahead of other rising pacers in the team.
In an interview, Mohammad Amir praised Naseem Shah’s performance and said that his pitches are in the right areas that sets him apart from others. “I think Naseem Shah would click earlier than other bowlers in the side because he has pace like others but his length is generally very good,” Amir said.
“The areas where the bowls are really good and it really suits his bowling action. He bowls full,” Amir further said.
While commenting on Mohammad Hasnain’s performance, he said, “Hasnain is doing well, he needs a little more time and he has to work on his variations. He needs to play more first-class cricket,” he added.
Moreover, the Sri Lanka cricket board reportedly offered to host the Indian Premier League 2020. Shammi Silva, the president of Sri Lanka’s cricket board, said the country could be a venue. “Apparently it will cost the BCCI and its stakeholders more than $500 million to cancel the IPL,” he said.
“If they play it in Sri Lanka, it’s easy for Indian audiences to watch the games on TV. There is precedent for this because they have played the IPL in South Africa before. We’re waiting for the Indian board to respond to our proposal.” he asserted.
