To facilitate people with disabilities, Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has decided to issue National Identity Cards with lifetime validity to differently-abled individuals.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the national database authority announced that the NADRA Rules 2002 are being amended to improve inclusivity and simplify documentation procedures while addressing specific needs of persons with disabilities in Pakistan.
NADRA has announced that one of the changes is the issuance of separate identity cards for disabled persons without any expiry date.
