NAB summons CM Punjab on August 12

LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on complaints of abuse of power on 12th August.
According to sources, NAB summoned the Punjab chief minister on complaints about the issuance of illegal alcohol permits. Usman Buzdar has been directed to appear at 11 am.
There are reports that complaints were received against Usman Buzdar and others that the chief minister had used his influence to issue liquor licenses to a private hotel for financial gain to his close relative, which is against the law.

As per the NAB sources, the summons notice has been issued and will be received by the Punjab chief minister by this evening. Buzdar will be questioned about the liquor license.
Earlier this week, Usman Buzdar ordered a strict action against hoarders to curb hoarding and artificial inflation in Punjab. He warned that he will not tolerate any negligence and said that people cannot be left at the mercy of hoarders.
He directed the officials to show no leniency to anyone who is found involved in profiteering. He also directed to activate price control committees at the district level to curb grand selling and hoarding.
