KARACHI: Shoaib Malik, the former captain of the national cricket team, has explained the reason for not retiring yet.
The Pakistani all-rounder, who recently played for Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), said in an interview, “Believe me, although I am the oldest in the team, you compare my fitness to 25.”

He said, “I will continue to play cricket and that is why I am not thinking about retirement now.” It is known that Shoaib Malik, who celebrated his 41st birthday yesterday, made his Test debut in 2001 against Bangladesh, ODI debut in 1999 against West Indies, and T20 debut in 2006.
Shoaib Malik played the last Test match in the Pakistan team in 2015 while the last ODI in 2019 and the last T20 match in 2021.
