LAHORE: Mohammad Hafeez has tested positive for COVID-19 once again after a retest by conducted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).  Â
Pakistan Cricket Board is mulling disciplinary action against the player for not following quarantine protocol. Hafeez had tested positive for COVID-19 when the board conducted the first round of tests of all the selected players who were chosen to travel England.  Â
Hafeez’s result came positive along with nine other players and an official. However, the very next day the former Pakistani captain posted a tweet with a report from a private medical facility where the result showed that he has tested negative.    Â
However, the board once again tested Hafeez along with nine other players and a member of the management who will be scheduled to visit England in August. Reports of samples of substitutes taken proved that Hafeez was contracted for the virus.Â
According to a source in the board, the Shaukat Khanum Memorial hospital, which tested the players and officials did a retest of the earlier sample they had taken from Hafeez and it again came positive for COVID-19.
