KARACHI: More than 25 workers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London, (MQM-L) who protested under the guise of Independence Day in Karachi, were arrested.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Karachi South district Asad Ali Raza, more than 2 dozen people arrived outside the Karachi Press Club with national flags in different vehicles, who after a while suddenly took out MQM London flags and took pictures of their founder leaders and started raising slogans.
He said that since MQM-London and its leader are banned in Pakistan and the organization has been declared illegal, they are not allowed to take such action.

SSP South also said that due to illegal organization and prohibition, the police took action and detained more than 25 workers, who have been immediately shifted to Artillery Maidan police station.
