LAKKI MARWAT: A bomb presumably affixed to a motorcycle detonated near a police mobile in the Shahbaz Khel police station area of Lakki Marwat, injuring five people, police said.
According to police spokesperson Qudratullah, the blast struck a police vehicle after the explosive device, placed on a parked motorcycle, was detonated. Those wounded in the incident include three police personnel, one additional police employee, and a passerby.
Named among the injured are Assistant Sub-Inspector Jamaluddin, Constable Arif and driver Mir Hassan. Authorities said the casualties were transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment; their current conditions were not immediately disclosed.
Investigations into the source of the device and the circumstances of the attack are underway, police added.
