Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry has said that more women cricketers from South Asian countries should be part of the Women’s Big Bash League.
Talking to media she said that Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan women’s cricket teams had won some important series which had led to the development of women’s cricket.
“A number of South Asian cricketers are featuring in the upcoming edition of men’s Big Bash this year, the participation of South Asian players in the Women’s Big Bash should also continue”, she added.
On a question regarding Ayesha Nasim the Sydney Sixers captain said that that women should get equal opportunities in sports. Females should be given ample opportunities in whatever sport they wish to pursue.
“Every edition of the Women’s Big Bash brings new excitement and new challenges.”
Moreover, Perry expressed her desire to see the Australian men’s cricket team win the ongoing ICC CWC 23 in India
Australia is the favorite for both the Pakistan match in Bengaluru and to lift up the World Cup, she maintained.
Meanwhile, talking to the media, Allana King said that India would be a really tough opponent, but our good wishes are with the Australian men’s squad.
