LAHORE: Renowned model turned actor Saheefa Jabbar Khattak and her husband are the latest to be hit by the second wave of the COVID-19.
“COVID-19 positive,” she shared the news on Instagram. “Send little love, prayers, and flowers our way,” Saheefa added. The celebrity revealed the news on Tuesday morning.
Talking to a local magazine, Saheefa said, “It’s our fourth or fifth day. Initially, we didn’t realize it could be the virus. Since we are in Lahore, we thought it was just the smoke bothering us.”
The model further said, “We had these symptoms a month back as well, however, it wasn’t COVID back then so we assumed the same this time as well.”
“However yesterday when my husband lost his sense of taste is when we decided to get ourselves tested. The result came out positive,” Khattak added.
Earlier on Sunday, singer Jawad Ahmad also isolated himself after contracting the infectious disease. News of Ahmad and Khattak’s diagnosis comes only days after Sabaat actor Usman Muktar announced his COVID-19 positive result.
The second of COVID-19 is making rounds as Pakistan reported 1,167 new infections and 14 more deaths during the last 24 hours. The death toll has reached 6,849, whereas the total number of cases reached 336,260.
