A missing young cricketer’s body was found in the Tank wilderness of Khyber Pakhtukhwa, the authorities announced on Sunday.
“A suspect has been arrested and further investigation of the incident was under way,” Tank District Police Officer Waqar Ahmed was quoted as saying in Aaj News. The site of the accident falls under the jurisdiction of Gomal Police Station.
Usman Mehsud, 26, allegedly left his Jais Murgi Colony home five days ago after receiving a call, but he never came back, according to the police. They were trying to find him. The hospital serving the district office received the body.
The body was identified by the family.
The police said that Usman was unmarried and belonged to Sararogha Tehsil of South Waziristan.
The first information report alleged that the victim was abducted by an unidentified man and a friend after being deceived by him. It claimed that the victim was killed and his body was thrown at the location.
