When the Greater Iqbal Park harassment case came to light on August 14 this year, the entire nation was shocked. One side blamed Ayesha Akram for the harassment while the other was seen arguing in favour of the woman. However, the turning point in the harassment case came when the woman accused her own partner Rambo and arrested her.
The video statement of the arrested accused Rambo has come to light today who stated: “Neither Ayesha Akram nor I was at fault. Due to the absence of Ayesha’s companion that, I accompanied her on that day.” Surprisingly, despite all this, Ayesha Akram has requested legal action against Rambo. Let’s take a look at all the facts of the harassment case.
Harassment incident
On Independence Day, August 14, a female TikToker, was subjected to harassment and insult at the Greater Iqbal Park of Minar-e-Pakistan. Videos of the incident surfaced on social media three days after the incident.
A crowd of hundreds of youths tortured Ayesha Akram and her colleagues. The TikToker’s clothes were torn and he was thrown into the air. Lahore police appeared completely unaware of the whole incident.
Police later registered a case against 400 people and arrested dozens after disturbing videos of the incident surfaced on social media. Social media users demanded that strict legal action be taken against the accused.
Legal action against the accused
A few days after the incident, on 20th August, 20 suspects were handed over to the CIA for interrogation. The detainees were said to be between 18 and 30 years of age and were arrested from areas adjacent to Minar-e-Pakistan.
Lahore police said that pictures of all the persons were taken from the footage of the incident and they were sent to NADRA for identification. A report was also obtained from NADRA for the identification of the detainees so that the identification process could be completed.
Release of the accused
In August, TikToker was insulted. Police were to present the 144 accused of an identity parade on 28th August after their arrest, but Ayesha Akram apologized for her arrival in jail for medical reasons.
Statement of Ayesha Akram
In her interview, Ayesha Akram said that before the incident of harassment, I was fully clothed. Everything was taken away from her, mobile, cash, and jewelry before I could say anything. Security guards tried to keep her in a safe place, but the crowd broke through the wires and fences.
“We called 15 twice, but there was no response,” said TikToker. The violence erupted between 6:30 pm to 9 pm My hair were pulled. I remember the faces of the people I could recognize when they came forward. No one had the right to strip me naked. Is this a punishment for being a daughter of Pakistan?
Rambo’s video statement
Rambo was arrested yesterday at the request of Ayesha Akram. In his video statement, Rambo said that it was not his decision to take Ayesha to Greater Iqbal Park, with whom she was supposed to go to the park, his brother had died, so I went with Ayesha instead of him. Police have arrested eight people, including Rambo.
Apart from Amir Sohail alias Rambo, other arrested accused include Zafar, Mohsin, Hasnain, Mansab, Saddam, Bilal, and Asif. Ayesha Akram says that Rambo had planned to go to Greater Iqbal Park.
The victim also said that Rambo had obscene videos of her blackmailing me. So far he has taken Rs 10 lakh. Rambo used to take half of my salary. Rambo and his fellow king run a tick-tock gang together.
What is reality?
In this case, it is not necessary for the harassment victim’s allegations against Rambo and then Rambo’s statement to be completely true as the statements and allegations are part of every case that is being investigated.
Ayesha Akram, a victim of rudeness, harassment, and violence, has blamed Rambo for the whole incident, while Rambo says it was my fault and not Ayesha Akram’s fault. DIG Investigation Sharq Jamal also refused to speak to the media when contacted.
Therefore, the results of the investigation and court verdicts in the Ayesha Akram harassment case are yet to come to light. Until the case is finally decided, nothing can be said about those responsible for the incident, who sent dozens or hundreds of people to Greater Iqbal Park to harass a woman in Minar-e-Pakistan.
