ISLAMABAD: Metro bus service in twin cities has been suspended due to the closure of the Faizabad Interchange, where Tehrik Labaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLYRA) are protesting.
Along with the metro bus service, Internet and mobile services have also been suspended in Islamabad and Rawalpindi due to the sit-in of TLP rally, In this regard, a new traffic plan has also been issued. The traffic coming from Lahore is being diverted from T-Cross Rawat to Rawalpindi. Heavy traffic coming from Peshawar will be diverted from Chowki No. 26 towards the motorway.
According to the new traffic plan, the Express Chowk from Kulsoom Plaza Jinnah Avenue is closed to traffic on both sides. Poly clinic Chowk Fazal and Haq Road in Islamabad are closed to traffic on both sides. Faizabad Interchange is closed to traffic on all sides.

Both sides from Rawal Dam Chowk to Faizabad and from Zero Point to Faizabad are closed for traffic. Citizens would use Kashmir Highway 9th Avenue. Mobile signals were also closed in Rawalpindi and Islamabad yesterday.
According to the Islamabad traffic police, the flow of traffic has been affected due to the protest of a religious party. Citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary travel to avoid any trouble.
Faizabad is closed to traffic from all sides. Islamabad Traffic Police is working to restore traffic flow as soon as possible. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has also requested the people to take alternative routes.
