Oscar and Grammy-winning musician A. R. Rahman and his wife Saira Banu recently announced their separation after 29 years of marriage, leaving their fans heartbroken. Following the announcement, their daughter, Reheema, took to social media to share her thoughts on “difficulties,” offering a message of hope and resilience.
According to Indian media (News 18), in an Instagram story, Raheema Rahman posted a glimpse of a picturesque scene from her window and wrote in the caption, “After every difficulty comes ease. Your God will give you everything that brings you peace. This is the essence of life.”
A. R. Rahman and Saira Banu have three children: Khadija, Rehima, and Ameen. The couple’s separation, announced on November 19, has shocked many. Saira revealed that emotional stress was the reason behind their decision.
Saira’s lawyer, Vandana Shah, released an official statement regarding the couple’s split, which said, “After many years of marriage, Saira has decided to separate from her husband, A. R. Rahman. This decision was made due to emotional strain.”
“Despite their deep love for each other, the emotional stress created a rift between them, which cannot currently be bridged. With this in mind, they have decided to part ways.” The official statement further described the situation as being filled with stress.
