Ted Turner, the pioneering American media entrepreneur and founder of CNN, has passed away at the age of 88. Turner, widely regarded as a transformative figure in global journalism, launched the Cable News Network in 1980, creating the world’s first 24-hour news channel and revolutionising the way news is reported and consumed.
In addition to CNN, Turner founded Turner Broadcasting System, which included popular channels such as TBS and TNT.
