ISLAMABAD: Authorities have made the decision to hold the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT 2024) again on November 24 for the Islamabad region.
This decision follows the directive from the Islamabad High Court, which ruled last month that the previously conducted test was invalid.
There are over 17,000 candidates registered for the retake of MDCAT 2024, as many of the students who performed poorly in the test have traveled abroad.
On October 29, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) mandated the retaking of the MDCAT for the Islamabad region and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued this order after accepting petitions from students concerning alleged irregularities and questions that were not included in the syllabus.
The Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University administered the MDCAT 2024 in September 2024 in Islamabad and AJK.
The test plays a vital role in the admissions process for undergraduate medical and dental programs in the South Asian nation.
