LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz was heard allegedly abusing former president Asif Ali Zardari in another leaked audio tape.
In the leaked audio conversation, Maryam could be heard using abusive language against Zardari. She says “this person (Zardari) is chanting everywhere that our prime minister (Nawaz Sharif) is a thief and then expects we would shower him with petals. Does he not he have any shame?”
Maryam seems frustrated by Zardari in the leaked video. The audio conversation is reportedly from the days when Nawaz Sharif was the prime minister and the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had launched a protest against the government. Maryam Nawaz or PML-N has not yet confirmed the authenticity of the audio leak.
This is not the first time that an audio conversation of the Maryam Nawaz has been leaked. In a similar incident, alleged audio of Maryam Nawaz had surfaced where she could be heard speaking with then information minister and a close confidante Pervaiz Rasheed, regarding managing a panel of a news programme.

The audio revealed Maryam Nawaz and Pervaiz Rasheed discussing instructions to be given to the channel to place a guest of their choosing in the panel besides also abusing journalists giving independent opinions.
Rasheed can be heard saying that the channel has included Hasan Nisar on the panel while Irshad Bhatti, who criticises PML-N has also been included. He also says that renowned journalist Mazhar Abbas regularly slams the party, while Babar Sattar also has an independent opinion
Pervaiz Rasheed could be heard saying as to why Hafeezullah Niazi has been removed from the panel and his column in the newspaper has been stopped. Maryam Nawaz said that she would inquire from the channel’s management for the bias against them.
Maryam was also heard directing Pervaiz Rasheed to provide ‘baskets’ to two journalists, which were brought by ‘Abbu’ from Azerbaijan – in an apparent reference to Nawaz Sharif, saying they should be given to Nusrat Javed and journalist Rana Jawad.
