KARACHI: A man allegedly involved in producing fake official documents including arms licenses was arrested on Thursday from the Agra Taj colony area of Karachi.
The accused identified as Manzoor Ahmed alias Lakha was apprehended during an intelligence-based joint operation by Pakistan Rangers and police.
Three stamps of governmental and non-governmental organizations, more than 6 dozen fake licenses of prohibited and non-prohibited bore arms, a 30 bore pistol, a 38 bore revolver, 60 bullets of 7 mm, and 20 of 32 bore were also recovered from the accused possession.
During the initial investigation, the accused revealed that with the help of government and non-government officials, he is forming and selling fake arms licenses, fake permits to carry arms during section 144, fake domiciles, and other fake documents.
The arrested accused along with the arms, ammunition, and other recovered things have been handed over to the police for further legal action.
