CHARSADDA: A man was arrested for killing his wife over a domestic dispute while the murder weapon was also recovered.
Khanmai police took immediate notice after receiving a complaint that a man had killed his wife over a domestic dispute. DPO Charsadda Muhammad Shoaib instructed Superintendent Police Investigation Derwaish Khan to head a team to arrest him.
DSP Sardheri Muhammad Riaz Khan, SHO Khanmai police station Javed Khan and investigation officers were part of the team tasked to arrest him.
The police managed to trace the suspect Salman s/o Fazal Rehman from Charbagh area of Swat in a short period. The murder weapon was also recovered while the suspect had confessed to the crime in initial investigation. He said his wife was his in-law’s house frequently which enraged him after which he killed her.
In another incident, police also claimed to have arrested three notorious drug peddlers and recovered 400 grams of charas and 500 grams of crystal meth from their position. Police also action against two illegal tenets in the area.
