Season 2 of ‘Loki’, featuring our favorite cunning trickster, recently concluded its finale episode.
Season 1 served as a fish-out-of-water type of story, with Loki kicked out of space and time and instead serving as a prisoner of the Time Variance Authority, one chaotic act led to another, however, and in perfect God of Mischief fashion, Loki found himself sent out on a major mission for the TVA.
Season 2 was even more fast-paced than Season 1, with Loki, and his handful of TVA friends who must band together to save all of time and space while also attempting to survive themselves.
How does season 2 end?
The finale of Loki season 2 features a drastic change to the status quo, with Loki destroying the Temporal Loom and saving all the branched timelines, becoming a living Temporal Loom for the entire multiverse.
Season 3: Renewed or cancelled?
Loki has yet to be renewed for Season 3. Knowing Marvel has a bigger plan for all of this (which is subject to change), it would come as no surprise if at some point Loki’s plot bleeds into another upcoming MCU project, or shoves Loki into the path of another superhero. If renewed soon after the show ends, Loki Season 3’s premiere date could be sometime in 2025.
Will Loki be in future Marvel movies?
Although he’s alive, there’s no confirmation of a Loki season 3 or his return in future Avengers movies. Marvel has not confirmed when or if Loki will return. While there might be potential for a variant of Loki in a future project, it remains unclear. Loki’s ending makes sense as a final one.
