Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, won the Pakistan Super League (PSL) title for the third time by defeating Quetta Gladiators in the final in Lahore last night.
Quetta, playing first, scored 201 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Lahore Qalandars achieved the target of 202 runs on the fifth ball of the last over for the loss of 4 wickets and won the title for the third time.
For Lahore Qalandars, Kushal Perera remained unbeaten on 62 runs while Sikandar Raza scored 22 runs in just 7 balls.
Who won the major awards of PSL 10?
1: Lahore Qalandars’ Kaushal Perera was named Player of the Final for his brilliant batting.
2: Quetta Gladiators’ Hassan Nawaz was named Batsman of the Tournament.
3: Lahore Qalandars’ captain Shaheen Afridi was named the best bowler of the event.
4: Qalandars’ Sikandar Raza was named the best all-rounder of the tournament.
5: Lahore Qalandars’ Muhammad Naeem was named the best emerging player of the league.
6: Quetta Gladiators’ Hassan Nawaz was named Player of the Tournament.
Along with winning the title, Lahore Qalandars also received a prize money of US$500,000 (approximately more than Rs.140 million).
Runner-up team Quetta Gladiators received US$200,000 (more than Rs.56 million).
