LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) postponed the hearing of a plea lodged by Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz seeking permission to travel abroad.
On the plea where Maryam Nawaz’s lawyer appeared to continue arguments, the high court resumed the hearing, the judge asked the reason for which Maryam Nawaz keeps insisting to travel abroad.

The lawyer responded that her father, Nawaz Sharif, was seriously ill, the judge again asked as if her father is alone and no one is there to take better care of him, the lawyer said Maryam Nawaz is his daughter and it was her right to take care of her father.
The lawyers requested more time to prepare the case, the court later adopted the lawyers ‘ plea and adjourned the hearing until the first week of February.
Earlier on January 20, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz had submitted yet another plea in Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking permission to travel abroad.
In the petition submitted in LHC, PML-N leader said that she wants to be with her father Nawaz Sharif, undergoing treatment in London.
