RAWALPINDI: Unknown gunman shot dead local Advocate Sheikh Imran in what appears to be a targeted killing incident in Dheri Hassanabad area of Rawalpindi on Monday.
According to police, lawyer Sheikh Imran was going to drop his children off to school in this morning when unknown gunman approached him and shot twice in the head, killing him on the spot. The accused killed the lawyer in front of the children and fled.
Advocate Sheikh Imran practiced law in Islamabad.
Civil Lines Police reached the spot and with the help of Rescue 1122, shifted the body of the slain lawyer to the District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem.
Police said they have called a forensic team to collect more evidence from the spot.
Taking notice of the incident, CPO Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari ordered immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the incident.
