Land mafia allegedly occupying lands in Islamabad’s Bani Gala

ISLAMABAD: With the formation of private housing societies in Islamabad’s Bani Gala, the land mafia is illegally occupying lands of poor people under the alleged patronage of PTI leader Aleem Khan.
According to details, the society is owned by PTI senior provincial minister Aleem Khan. Sources have informed that Park View Society in Bani Gala is allegedly illegal.
One of the victims Raja Razafat claimed that the workers of Park View Housing Society were forcefully occupying their houses and lands. “This is our ancestral property and we are living here for the past fifty years,” he added.
The victims further informed that on Monday the workers of Park View Housing Society brought heavy machinery to demolish their houses. On resistance, the workers started aerial firing.
The occupation mafia wants to take over our land and make it part of the housing society, he said, adding that the society is owned by senior Punjab provincial minister Aleem Khan.
The victims also claimed that they have filed several applications against the land mafia in Bani Gala police station. However, no action has been taken yet.
The victims have appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad to take strict action against the accused involved in land grabbing and the corrupt police officers.
