LAHORE: Lahore police solved the mystery of a murder by arresting the killer, who had killed his father over a minor domestic dispute, sources said on Wednesday.
The accused was identified as Arshad who had tortured to death his real father Nazeer Ahmed with the help of his wife and another man over a minor domestic dispute.
According to sources, Arshad killed his real father, Nazeer, aged 70, over a minor dispute with his wife at his house within limits of Lahore Police Station two months days ago.
Sources said the son and daughter-in-law tortured and killed the father. The couple had put the body in a sack and dumped it in a nearby vacant plot after keeping the body on the roof for two days.
While his son Arshad had filed a false murder case in the police station to pretended that his father was being murdered, sources added.
However, according to the piece of evidence obtained from the crime scene, when the police investigated, it came to light that Nazeer Ahmed was killed by his real son, daughter-in-law and their friend over the domestic dispute
A case was also registered against the accused while police started further investigation into the case.
