Islamabad United has secured West Indies all-rounder Kyle Mayers as a replacement for the remainder of the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The decision comes after the unavailability of South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen and Australia’s Matt Short.
Van der Dussen, originally drafted in the Platinum category, was unable to join the team due to personal reasons. Initially, Australia’s Alex Carey was named as his replacement, but domestic commitments in Australia kept him from participating. Carey’s team reached the final of the ongoing domestic season, making his appearance in PSL 10 impractical.

In response to these setbacks, Islamabad United confirmed that Kyle Mayers would step in as a replacement player. The franchise expressed its support for van der Dussen, stating, “Rassie van der Dussen won’t be able to join us this season due to personal reasons. Islamabad United stands firmly with Rassie during this difficult time.”
