The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government filed a petition in Peshawar High Court against the alleged disappearance of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in Islamabad last night.
As per media reports, the Advocate General of the province has filed the petition in PHC, despite the public holiday on Sunday, the court has been opened and the hearing of the petition will start shortly.
Advocate Alam Khan Adenzai, the legal representative of the Chief Minister, stated that the province’s chief executive had gone missing, but the federal government denied his arrest.
It should be noted that CM Gandapure has not been in contact with anyone since last evening. He had reached Islamabad with a protesting convoy to stage a sit-in at D-Chowk against the arrest of Imran Khan.
After his convoy entered the capital city, the CM went to KP House Islamabad later the police and rangers entered KP House to arrest him. But now Interior Minister Muhsin Naqvi has claimed that CM Gandapur is not in the custody of any state institution including police and rangers.
