KARACHI: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation -KMC- has allocated Rs 200 million for cleaning and preparation of routes for the 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal processions.
According to media reports, the allocated amount will be spent on cleaning the areas around the main central procession of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, as well as routes of other small processions and the surroundings of specific mosques from where processions are taken out on the auspicious occasion.
The 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad – Peace Be Upon Him – is observed across Pakistan with great religious reverence, harmony and zeal, with Milad processions, gatherings and special prayers held in all parts of the country.
In a separate development initiative, the KMC will also spend Rs 360 million for the improvement and rehabilitation of selected secondary roads in District Malir.
