Indian High Commission in Islamabad issued 82 visas to Pakistani pilgrims who will participate in the annual Urs celebrations of Khawaja Nizamuddin Aulia (RA) in New Delhi.
Diplomatic sources revealed that these visas were issued under the Pak-India Protocol Framework. The Pakistani pilgrims will attend the five-day annual Urs celebrations of Khawaja Nizamuddin Aulia (RA) in New Delhi.
Sources further said that the Pakistani pilgrims will depart for New Delhi via the Wagah border.
The annual Urs celebrations will commence from October 19 and will continue till October 25.
Langar and Qawwali will be arranged for the pilgrims and the devotees throughout the Urs Sharif.
Syed Muhammad Nizamuddin Auliya was one of the most famous Sufi saints from the Indian subcontinent region. Also known as Hazrat Nizamuddin, and Mahbub-e-Ilahi (Beloved of God), he was a Sunni Muslim scholar and Sufi saint of the Chishti Order.
Like most of the Chishti Sufi saints, Nizamuddin Auliya stressed love as a means of realizing God. He believed the love of God implied a love of humanity.
