We all make mistakes that we regret later, and famous artists are no exception. Star singer Katy Perry regrets turning down a fantastic opportunity to work with Grammy winner Billie Eilish on a mega-hit.
Katy (38) said in a video posted by radio station 102.7 KIIS FM that she once had the chance to work with Billie Eilish but turned it down. The occasion was for Billie’s debut single, ‘Ocean Eyes’, before she became a multiple Grammy winner, something Perry has not achieved in her career.
Perry mentioned receiving an email inviting her to have “a look at this fresh performer. She was working with me for Unsub Records; therefore, I really want to work with her,” She recalled without revealing the email’s sender.

“It was a song called ‘Ocean Eyes,’ and it was just a blonde girl,” Perry continued. “And I was like, ‘Meh, boring.’ Big mistake. Big mistake. Don’t let this get on the Internet,'” she joked.
That anecdote happened in 2015, the year Eilish debuted and at a time when Katy was dominating the charts and was the top star on the planet. From then to now, Billie has won seven Grammys, a Golden Globe and an Oscar. Not bad for a girl who was underappreciated by Perry.
But since then, Katy and Billie have become friends.
