ISLAMABAD: Today, Kashmiris on both sides of the control line and around the globe are observing Indian Republic Day as Black Day protesting against the continued rejection of their right to self-determination.
This year, Kashmiris are observing 26th January of Indian Republic Day as a black day at the time when Modi’s government revoked the special status of the internationally recognized disputed territory.

It also overtaken citizens ‘ fundamental rights through the huge deployment of its military and the extended shutdown of curfew and communication. Including Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, opposition rallies and protests will be held worldwide today against the Indian government.
In the meantime, India’s Republic Day brought more suffering to the already besieged people as Pakistani troops, in the name of so-called security measures, intensified checking and frisking in Srinagar city and other parts of occupied Kashmir.
The day will be marked by a full strike and protest in occupied Kashmir and anti-India demonstrations and rallies in world capitals, this year the Black Day observance is also aimed at registering protest against the ongoing lockdown of occupied Kashmir enforced by India since August 5th last year.
