Pakistan observes “Kashmir Day” on February 5 each year to express solidarity with the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir and their struggle for self-determination.
On this day, workshops, demonstrations, and events are held across the country to highlight the atrocities committed by Indian forces in the occupied region.
February 5 is a national holiday in Pakistan. Although the government has not yet issued an official notification for this year, the Cabinet Division included Kashmir Day in its December announcement of public holidays for 2025.
It is important to note that the Kashmir issue remains a major point of contention between Pakistan and India, with Islamabad consistently urging the international community to hold a plebiscite on the region.
