The Kartarpur Corridor has once again become a source to reunite a woman from Sheikhupura with her brother across the border after 75 years.
Sakina Bibi, a resident of Sheikhupura, and Karmail Singh, a resident of India, are siblings, and they were separated at the time of partition.
Sakina Bibi had come to Pakistan with her father while Karmail Singh had been left in India with their mother.
Both of them got in touch on social media. They were overwhelmed and hugged each other as they met at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur. Sweets were also distributed on the occasion.
Both of them thanked the Government of Pakistan for their meeting, for they could meet through the Kartarpur Corridor only.
It is worth mentioning here that the Kartarpur Corridor has continuously been serving as a source for reuniting people with their loved ones who were separated decades ago at the time of partition.
