The body of a businessman who went missing three days ago has been found in the coastal area of Do Darya in Shahr-e-Quaid. His body was tied to a stone and thrown into the sea.
According to a report by national media on Sunday, the body, which was found tied to a stone in the coastal area of Karachi’s Sea View Do Darya, has been identified as 50-year-old businessman Asif Kamal. The deceased went missing from the Landhi area on January 29. He was working as a businessman at the Saddar Star Mobile Market.
The report states citing sources that Asif Kamal left his home in Landhi for work and had been missing since 1 PM on January 29. His family searched for him throughout the day, after which the case was initially registered. According to the police, the deceased’s family registered a case of his alleged kidnapping at the Landhi police station on February 1 on the complaint of his brother.
On February 2, Asif Kamal’s tortured body was recovered from Do Darya. The deceased, Asif, was a resident of House No. 9, Block 80, Mohalla Area 4C, Landhi No. 6, and a father of three children. His mobile phone and motorcycle are also missing. A post-mortem examination is being conducted, and the final cause of death will be determined after the report is released. Meanwhile, investigations into various aspects of the incident are ongoing.
