The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rain with gusty winds and thunderstorms in Karachi on June 16.
The Met Office has said that light rain is expected in the suburban areas of Karachi on Monday. The weather in the city is likely to be partly cloudy and humid during this time.
After intense heat, rains have started in various cities of the country. The heat wave has broken due to rain and winds. Most areas of Gujarat and the surrounding areas received heavy rain.
In Murree, heavy rain brought joy to the faces of heat-stricken tourists. Light rain began in Khanewal, Dunyapur, and surrounding areas, and the weather turned pleasant with rain and cool winds.
In Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, and surrounding areas, strong winds accompanied by rain brightened weary faces, and the intensity of the heat reduced due to the rain. Rain also occurred in Rawalakot city and nearby areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Islamabad and surrounding areas is expected to remain partly cloudy today, with chances of rain and strong winds at a few places.
There is a possibility of storms and rain in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, and Mansehra. Rain accompanied by strong winds may occur in Shangla, Kohistan, Abbottabad, and Haripur. Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, and Charsadda are also expected to experience strong winds and rain.
Dusty winds with rain are expected in the southern and central districts of Punjab. The weather in most parts of Sindh will remain extremely hot and humid, while in Balochistan, the weather is expected to remain extremely hot and dry. Rain is likely at night in Musakhel, Barkhan, Loralai, and Zhob.
