KARACHI: West Police has raided the Excise and Taxation office, during which the abductee was rescued while the accused were arrested. According to details, West Police raided the office of DG Excise and Taxation on II Chandragar Road in Karachi.
West police have rescued a hostage during a raid. Police sources said that the accused of robbery and kidnapping for ransom was also taken into custody.
It may be recalled that earlier, Karachi police arrested 1154 accused in a successful operation against street criminals, drug dealers, and fugitives to curb crime in the city.
Police arrested a total of more than 1,154 suspects during raids in the East, West, and South Zones over a seven-day period last month. During the ongoing anti-drug drive, 147 kG of cannabis, 2 kg heroin, and 6 kg ice worth crores of rupees were recovered from different areas.
More than 139 different types of illegal weapons with the ammunition used in looting and other incidents were seized from the arrested street criminals. There were 07 police encounters with the accused.
