Karachi police have published a list comprising over 110 domestic workers with criminal backgrounds, designating them as suspects in various theft incidents throughout the city’s affluent neighborhoods.
This list features photographs, mobile numbers, and addresses of the women, many of whom have prior arrests, obtained bail, and subsequently fled.
Officials from the South Zone police indicated that these domestic workers operated in a coordinated fashion, frequently engaging in thefts while employed.
Although many have faced previous arrests and incarceration, the images released depict those who have been granted bail and are currently unaccounted for.
The police are advising the public to exercise vigilance when hiring domestic assistance, cautioning against employing anyone listed.
They strongly encourage individuals to register the details of domestic workers at the nearest police station prior to their employment, which will facilitate their apprehension in the event of any criminal activities.
