LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz has said that the Karachi incident has brought the government into disrepute.
Talking to the media, Maryam Nawaz said that the PDM meeting in Quetta would be a success tomorrow. Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif would also address the meeting in Quetta, she said.
She said that everyone grieved over the Karachi incident and it had brought the government into disrepute. The Sindh government has the right to investigate the Karachi incident, but there is no need to investigate the incident, she added.

Maryam Nawaz said that sugar and flour are missing from the market but the government’s focus is on the former prime minister. He said that NRO was needed not by anyone but Prime Minister Imran Khan himself. The selected should know that the UK is governed by law and there are no judges like Arshad Malik, she maintained.
The PML-N VP said that PM Imran Khan used the name of Nawaz Sharif to elevate his stature. Earlier, Maryam Nawaz said that there is no need for an inquiry into Captain (retired) Safdar’s arrest from a hotel room in Karachi as everything is clear.
Addressing a press conference, Maryam Nawaz said the concerned authorities should openly investigate the issue and made the inquiry report public. She said the Sindh government is well aware of the incident that transpired, adding that she said she will appear before the inquiry committee if required.
