Before the start of the T20 series against Pakistan and during the ODI series, Cricket Australia appointed Josh Inglis as the captain of the white-ball team, replacing Pat Cummins in a major move.
The Australian wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis will be leading the white-ball team for the upcoming T20 series against the Green Shirts, as well as in the final ODI, where he will challenge Pakistani wicketkeeper-captain Mohammad Rizwan.
Senior Australian players, including Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Starc, will not be playing in the final ODI against Pakistan as they are preparing for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India.

In their first match out of three in the ODI series against Pakistan, Australia won by 2 wickets, with Pakistani bowlers making the match exciting by forcing the Aussies to lose 8 wickets for 185 runs.
Inglis has prior experience leading in domestic cricket and is ready to take on the captaincy. Fast bowlers Xavier Bartlett, wicketkeeper-batter Josh Philippe, and Spencer Johnson have been added to the Australian team.
