Jemima Khan fined £1,000 for speeding offence in UK

In the United Kingdom, Jemima Khan, former wife of Imran Khan, has been fined £1,000 over a speeding offence.

According to media reports, Khan failed to respond to a police notice after a car registered in her name was recorded exceeding the speed limit.

She has maintained that renovation work was under way at her home at the time and that the police letter was misplaced by a builder.

She said she was unaware of the notice until October and submitted the required form as soon as she received it. Khan stated that the vehicle had been driven by the builder, but responsibility ultimately fell to her as the registered owner.

Reports further noted that she accepted the oversight and acknowledged that a fine should be imposed.
