The accountability court in Islamabad has reportedly postponed its verdict in the £190 million case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, which was initially scheduled for tomorrow (Monday).
Sources within the accountability court informed Express News that the decision in the high-profile case involving the PTI founder and his wife will not be delivered as planned.
Court staff have notified PTI’s legal team that the next hearing date will be announced tomorrow at the accountability court in Sector G-11.
It is expected that the court may issue its ruling on the new date regarding the reference filed against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
On December 18, an accountability court had reserved its verdict in the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust corruption reference involving the former prime minister and his spouse.
Earlier in December, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed a corruption reference against Imran Khan and seven others, including his wife, in connection with the Al-Qadir University.
The case alleges that Imran and Bushra Bibi acquired billions of rupees and land from Bahria Town Ltd in exchange for legalizing Rs50 billion that had been identified and returned to Pakistan by the UK during the previous PTI government.
