Since we have had both civil and military governments, there has always been a debate as to whether the performance of military governments was better than that of civil governments. In this debate, advocates of civil rule have always argued that even the worst democracy has priority over the best dictatorship. Do you know why you have to resort to this cover? This support has to be taken because no ideal civil government has been established in our country even once.
As a result of this embarrassing situation, the opinion can take root that when democracy has failed to do us any good, then it must be considered a “failed system”, and something else should be thought of. Therefore, to avoid this dangerous mistrust, politicians and their supporting intellectuals have always resorted to the straw that even the worst democracy is better than the best dictatorship. The question is, how can something that is the worst be “good”? How can a wicked man be noble in spite of his malice? If the consciousness of our democrats has sunk so low that they have no option but to rely on this silly claim to defend democracy, then damn that consciousness.
In our view, the real problem is not that democracy has failed every time. Rather, the real reality is that we are failing as a nation. Honesty has been missing from us since day one. So malpractice has always resulted in failure. Just look at the first Constituent Assembly. Since the term of this assembly was supposed to end as soon as the constitution was made, this generation of politicians made the constitution-making the bowels of the devil, whose capital pride was that we are the creators of Pakistan. For seven years, that assembly continued to play the Monkey Circus of the Constitution. Actually, how much time was required for this work? This can be well estimated from the fact that when the stage of creation of the constitution of 1973 came after the tragedy of East Pakistan, this task was completed in just one year.
This shows that even those politicians were also the worst level of evil people who did not get tired of boasting that they were the creators of Pakistan. History will mention them in golden words. It was a sign of their moral and political depravity that they kept prolonging the constitution for seven years just to enjoy membership in the assembly. If the term of that assembly had been made subject to a certain period instead of making it subject to the constitution, then perhaps martial law would not have happened in the future. Once the generals saw that the politicians were playing the game of personal interest by putting the country’s interest on the side, then what was the need for them to continue with their work? They thought that personal agendas were the priority. Then why should these personal agendas not be ours? And thus the intervention of the army in politics began.
When did any kind of honest and trustworthy democracy come here that the generals rapped it? The civil-military conflict that has been going on for the past seventy-five years has actually been a tournament of dishonesty. And the moral position of the politicians in this tournament is so shameful that they have to resort to this crap that they are good even if they are the worst. So make them your priority. In principle, the worst should be placed on the tip of the shoe. And they insist on making themselves our priority despite being the worst? The question is why is it so important for you to be the worst that you are not willing to be the best?
What to dig the graves of the entire civilian rule of Pakistan! Look at the deeds of these politicians in recent years. Imran Khan not only destroyed the economy of this country but also politics and ethics, but according to the principle of politicians, he has to be considered good despite being the worst. After Imran Khan, the second most incompetent Prime Minister in the history of this country, Shehbaz Sharif, was imposed, his incompetence was such that he could neither manage the economy nor take any action against Imran Khan. He clung to power along with his religious, secular, and nationalist allies only because of his childhood desire to become prime minister. But even this herd of shameless people will have to be considered good despite being the worst. Because this is what their self-styled crap demands of us.
You take the present moment. The country is suffering from the worst kind of economic crisis. The greatest need of the hour is to hold elections as soon as possible transfer power to the government with a fresh mandate and let that government take over the economy. But this is the interest of the country! When has the interest of the country been a priority here? So this time it will be the same as always. If the interests of the country and Nawaz Sharif are in conflict, then the interests of Nawaz Sharif will get priority. Nawaz Sharif’s cases will be decided first. Then there will be an election so that Nawaz Sharif can also participate in it.
The question is, what is the need for postponing the election for Nawaz Sharif? Even so, elections could have been held in October. If the PML-N had won, it would have formed the government. And Nawaz Sharif would have dealt with his cases with the request for urgent hearing. When he was acquitted, he would contest the by-elections and come to the Assembly and become the Prime Minister. This has happened in many countries of the world. Tayyip Erdogan is the biggest example of this. The only problem is that Nawaz Sharif is afraid that once the elections are held, then his cases might drag on. The question is, why do they have this fear? It is clear that they know that the political system of Pakistan is a corrupt system. And miscreants cannot be trusted. Therefore, Main Sahib demands that both the inflation hit poor people and the interest of the country go to hell. The election will be held only when their interests are fulfilled. Now Nawaz Sharif’s stubbornness will have to be accepted. Do you know why? Because even the worst democracy is good. Is that so? Do we always have to suffer just because the worst democracy is also good? Will our politicians always insist on being worse? If this worse creature is not willing to improve, why not make it an example? Why not grab their necks, turbans, and beards and drag them on the road?
