ISLAMABAD: The intensity of cold has increased during December in different cities of the country due to rain.
According to the details, it rained in important cities of Balochistan, Quetta, Chaman, Ziarat, and Nushki today. In Multan too, the first rain of winter increased the intensity of the cold.
Apart from Multan, other cities of Punjab including Sahiwal and surrounding areas got colder due to light rain. Tibba Sultanpur and its surroundings also received the first rain of winter.
It also rained in Chiniot, Kohat, Melsi, Pir Mahal and surrounding areas. Clouds have also settled in Islamabad, while snowfall has been predicted in Malika Kohsar Murree.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and snowfall in the mountains in the North and West areas of Balochistan, KPK, Upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Meteorological Department said that during the last 24 hours, the weather was dry and cold in most parts of the country, while it was very cold in the upper regions and northern Balochistan. The plains of Punjab were engulfed in fog.
The highest rainfall was recorded in the Turbat region of Balochistan with 11 mm, Panjgur 6 mm, and Dalbandin 2 mm. Today, Skardu recorded minus 11, Astor minus 9, and Kalam and Gopis minus 8.
Hunza minus 7, Gilgit minus 6, Bagrot, Ziarat, Dir, and Para Chinar recorded minus 4 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of a further increase in the severity of cold in the upper regions of the country.
