ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that India’s racially extremist ideology of Hindutva posed a threat to peace in the region and the world.
Recently Imran Khan while being interviewed to German Deutsche Welle (DW) Television criticized India over its extremist ideology.
The prime minister said that it was a tragedy for the region that India has been taken over by the extremist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
As quoted, Imran Khan said, “It is a tragedy for India and for its neighbours that the country has been taken over by RSS, an organisation which also assassinated the great Mahatma Gandhi.”
He further said that a nuclear-armed country was being run by extremists, and Kashmir has been under siege for over five months.”
The prime shared how he became the first leader to oppose India and supported Kashmir’s cause, “I was the first leader to warn the world about what is happening in India. India has been taken over by an extremist ideology known as Hindutva. It is the ideology of RSS. The RSS, a political organization founded in 1925, inspired by the German Nazis.”
Earlier on Thursday, Imran Khan welcomed the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) over the discussion of the situation in Indian occupied Kashmir.
The prime minister posted a tweet related to the UNSC session, he wrote, “Pakistan welcomes UN Security Council discussing the situation in Jammu & Kashmir again. An internationally recognized dispute, J&K remains on the Security Council’s agenda & its consideration by the Council reflects a recognition of the seriousness of the prevailing situation.”
Imran Khan further wrote that the issue of IoK must be resolved in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
