A teenage boy has been taken into custody on charges of molesting a cow in Bhopal, a Hindu-majority state in India. Locals caught the incident on camera on Saturday, leading to the suspect, identified as Chhotu Malviya, being apprehended immediately.
In the viral video, the juvenile is seen performing an unusual act with the cow. Following the incident, locals handed Malviya over to the police and filed a case at the Chhola Thana police station under Case No. 0261.
The event has sparked widespread condemnation and outrage in Bhopal, with residents calling for stricter measures against animal cruelty. In Hinduism, cows are revered and often referred to as “gau mata,” or mother cow.
This is not the first instance of animal cruelty in Bhopal. A few months ago, a youth was filmed throwing a dog into a pond.
Chhotu Malviya is now facing legal proceedings for his alleged crime.
