MUMBAI: Indian movie stars on Monday have condemned police’s beating and a crackdown on students of Jamia University Delhi, who were raising their voices against Indian citizenship law.
Series of protests so far recorded throughout India, after passing anti-muslim law in the Indian parliament.

Fresh protests erupted outside Jamia Islamia University Delhi on Monday, a day after the police crackdown the university students.
People have heard slogans against the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah and also set effigies afire.
Authorities of Jamia Milia Islamia University Delhi on Monday termed police’s crackdown against its students as a “war-like situation.”
Officials of Jamia University have demanded a high-level probe into the incident because after police crackdown in Jamia University several students were injured.
Regarding the sad incident, Bollywood movie stars came out in support of Jamia University students and strongly condemned the police’s crackdown and brutality in the university.

Taking the Twitter Indian Actor Sidharth Malhotra expressed his displeasure over the police crackdown against students in Delhi University.
My heart goes out to all the students back home in Delhi. In a democracy like ours, its sad to see violence against citizens for voicing their opinion through peaceful protests. There should be no place for violence of any form & intent in our country. I strongly condemn this act

Similarly, other Bollywood actors also condemned the incidents in their tweets.
